Fully believing that every child is planned by God, thus making each child a true miracle, I approach each photo shoot with the intention of capturing each family and child’s spirit and beauty the way that God intended them to be.  Using natural lighting whenever possible I will take the time to get the families and children relaxed and comfortable so that the photos taken reflect the same atmosphere in them.  Using a variety of props, along with outside photos, I have been able to capture the fun, happy spirit in children.

My love for photography started in high school in Elyria, Ohio.  I then went on to study it while in college and later had a profitable wedding and family portrait photography business.  Over the past 25 years I've had thousands of opportunities to photograph children and babies, including making my eight nieces and nephews some of my favorite subjects.  As a former foster-parent my focus turned to the teens with whom I fostered, especially my three daughters who were formerly foster teens in my home.  They became my next favorite subjects to photograph. Now, having given birth to my own little miracle in January of 2005 I have a new “favorite subject” and I really do understand the time and attention to detail it takes to photograph infants and babies.  A friend once said to me “You must wear that camera around your neck like a string of pearls when it comes to photographing Matthew!”

It is my goal for every session I photograph, whether it's an engagement portrait, wedding, maternity session or infant and family portrait, to create an image that is beautiful and captivating and one that you will be thrilled with and God will be proud of.

I am ecstastically married to Brad, we have a son of our own and 6 grown children combined.  We also share 11 grandchildren.  We live in Marysville, Ohio with our son, Matthew.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful…"  Psalm 139:13-14
